Basic information about the colloquium
The "Sibe Mardešić" colloquium is a lecture series organized at least four times a year. The colloquia are held on Wednesdays, 12-13, at the Department of Mathematics. The Colloquium series commemorates the contributions of the academician Sibe Mardešić to the development of mathematics in Croatia, and in particular at the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb. Lectures are intended for a wider scientific community, and we invite leading mathematicians as lecturers. Thematically, the colloquia are addressed to the wider scientific community with the aim of presenting breakthrough results in fundamental mathematical research as well as in the entire spectrum of mathematics results in scientific disciplines in which mathematics is a key enabling technology.
