To get to Hotel Jadran from the airport, you can take a taxi
(250 kn) or Uber (110 kn). A more economical way is to take the airport bus to
the Zagreb Bus Station (30 kn). From there you can take a taxi, or Uber, or
walk; you can also take the tram but the
direct line no.8 does not operate on weekends, so you could go to the
Railway Station by no.2 or no.6, then to Draškovićeva by no.4. You
can also use the city
bus and tram, that is the least expensive (10 kn for a 90 minute ticket),
but slower and more complicated.
To walk from
Hotel Jadran to Department of
Mathematics, Faculty of Science, take Schlosserove stube, then Šalata,
cross the Medical School campus, continue on Mesićeva to Bijenička.
The walk is about 15 minutes. I will be at the hotel at 9 on Monday to walk with
you for the first time. One can also take the tram no.8 or no.14 to
Grškovićeva, then the bus no. 106, 201 or 226 to Bijenička. Room 201 is on the 2nd floor.
For lunch, you
can descend to the area around the main square (Trg bana Jelačića),
either on foot, or by bus to Kaptol. There you will find many reastaurants, for
example around the Dolac Market, or in Tkalčićeva street. If you wish
to stay near the Math Department, you could go to the student cafeteria, or
walk to Lašćinska
klet, or to Pivnica
Mlinarica, or to Kod
Pere.
The conference
dinner will be at Kod
Pere.
You can get the
30 minute bus/tram tickets for 4 kn either beforehand at newsstands, or from
the driver once you enter the vehicle.
